That at once warm and fuzzy feeling of one of my babies' heads on my cheek.
The scene as I come down the warm, wood staircase at our (rental) house. Why won't he sell this house to us??? :o[

Things I like in the kitchen
Red wine vinegar: so much smoother than apple cider and certainly white vinegar
White vinegar: GREAT for getting hardwater marks off of fridge water dispenser (we have a black fridge so they get pretty obvious).
Toasted sesame marinade: must have for stirfries
Jicama: super yummy, crunchy, tiny-bit-sweet, veggie that is great with beans in a salad.
Rainbow Light vitamins: discovered them when I was preggers and they are super great; don't get nearly the nap urge in the early afternoon that I get without them or with a generic vitamin.
Find them at Whole Foods. And, yes, I keep mine in the kitchen.
Stevia: NATURAL sweetner. Extracted from a leaf and actually shown to have health benefits not just lack of side effects.
Lemons & limes: South Beach Diet recipes got me going on them and I can't live w/o them.
Hi-ball glasses: even drinking V8 is more fun from a hi-ball!
Veggies in my eggs: we're all supposed to be eating pounds of veggies per week. Why not put 'em in your breakfast?
Glass mixing bowls: fabulous! I only have one (thanks Jess C!) but I use it every chance I get.
Real butter: for the love, lets stop using fake fat! If it's gonna have fat in it, it may as well taste good!

Notes to my future self
Don't make excuses for your kids because of your guilt over something. Maybe it was done wrong, but making that an excuse will cripple them rather than form character. Do what you can to help them get over it/through it/past it.
